I often notice comments on my videos regarding people’s appreciation for a new perspective on a song they are intimately familiar with and have loved for a long time. Sometimes the joy of a reaction video is having someone point out a tiny (or sometimes massive) detail that you may never have noticed. I thought I’d put together a few tips on critical listening.

So, how do you go about critically listening to and analyzing music? Here are a few tips to get you started:
